Roulett has always been an easy game to play. Unlike games that require a lot of skill and patience e.g. poker, Roulett is a game which is easy to pick up and play. The rules are also very straight forward and it takes very little time to learn how to play the game. The hardest part about Roulett is simply learning to manage your bankroll.
There are several different bets that you can make in Roulett such as:
There are 36 single numbers on the Roulett table, with each one having a payout of 35 to 1 for a single number bet. For example, a $1 bet on any single number will return $36 – your $1 stake plus the $35 winnings.
A line bet can also be made. This is a bet that covers two numbers at once and has a payout of 17 to 1. This is slightly lower odds than two single bets on the two numbers (35/2 = 17.5)
Betting can also be made on a single row of the Roulett table, or a corner of the table. The respective payouts for these bets are 11 to 1 and 8 to 1.
You can also bet on two rows at once, with a payout of 5 to 1. (Which is again slightly less than two single row bets)
The Roulett table, with 36 numbers, is also divided up into 3 sections, each covering 12 numbers. A bet on one section will payout 3 to 1. You will find that the more numbers you can cover, the better your chances of winning, but when you do win, the amount will be lower. The house always has the edge long term.
The final bet that many people make is a simple red/black or odds/evens bet. These have a payout of 1 to 1 but are much safer bets with a little over a 48% chance of winning.
One final point to note is that you can also make multiple bets at the same time e.g. you can bet on evens and red and this will help decrease your chance of losing too much.
